There are loads of sick kits that have graced pitches throughout the world over the years. In honor of this summer’s European Championships the awesome team at Classic Football Shirts have hooked us up with a batch of retro European kits of our own.
They may have exited the tournament in the quarterfinals, but back at Euro 2000 when they rocked these kits, Italy bowed out in the final.
Italy walked through the Group Stage with three wins from three matches against Turkey, Belgium, and Sweden.
In the quarters, Francesco Totti & Pippo Inzaghi netted goals to earn a 2-0 win over Romania.
Advancing to the final after beating the Netherlands in penalties, Italy fell 2-1 to France with a David Trezeguet golden goal in the 103rd minute sealing the Azzurri‘s fate.
Below, this sick kit in action as Alessandro Nesta pulls back Patrick Kluivert in the semifinal.
Another thanks to Classic Football Shirts for the sick kit. Be sure to check back for a look at retro European kits as the summer in France wraps up.
