Five Of Our Favorite New MLS Kits

By Ola Fisayo

The start of the new MLS season is fast approaching, and with this teams are bringing out new home and away jerseys.

Here are five of the most lit kits of the new season.

Seattle Sounders Third Kit 2016

This season Seattle have gone with a very modern look, with a cool navy base color with specks of baby blue, that is also their accent color. Makes for a very clean look and one that will definitely stand out on the pitch, in the stands, on the street; pretty much anywhere, this is a seriously good looking jersey.

NYCFC Away Kit 2016

New York City FC went with a classy design, but more so they went with an interesting concept. With the tag line we are one, their away kit features numerous concentric circles representing the many people that make up the one, or the whole, club. Dark blue back drop, accented with a tangerine orange, with the circles emitting from the clubs badge. This is a pretty cool kit to say the least.

Chicago Fire Home Kit 2016

Chicago Fire bring the heat with their bold and commanding home kit for the 2016 season. An almost solid block of red will definitely make sure that rival teams and fans alike know that they’re in Chicago. Minimalist, with a few stripes of blue and white, this kit is unforgiving and unforgettable.

Sporting Kansas City Away Kit 2016

Sporting take a step in a classy direction for the new season, with what has to be the smartest kit in MLS. Bold horizontal stripes, a low lying collar with a few buttons. This is truly the haute couture of football jerseys. Like something straight out of a Parisian designer work shop, this jersey is a true master piece. Kansas City, well done.

DC United Home Kit 2016

DC United have had a couple of changes leading into the new season, one of which is a badge change. It’s the first change to the badge since 1997, modernizing it, making it bolder and emphasizing the value of freedom tied with the club. The new kit supports the new badge, solid black to show a united front, a united team and a united fan base. The traditional red compliments the black base along with some white accents, a strong look.
