The Sickest Kits That Dropped This Week

New Year, New Kits! We know it seems like LigaMX just ended — because it did, with Tigres crowned Apertura champions on Christmas Day — but their quick turnaround for the Clausura means that we’re graced with not only a new round of great games but also a few sweet new shirts.

This new third kit really doesn’t need an introduction. Just look:

We’re not sure which is better, the all-black base, the white strip running out from underneath the black collar (that matches the white trim on the end of the sleeves), or the graffiti-like white that bleeds from the top of the kit. Please don’t make us choose.

Chivas’ new third kit is pretty sick as well. It features an appealing gold-and-blue color palette and subtle diagonal stripes on the front. Not to mention that we love a good sponsor-less kit.

We’re not ones to advocate for being a full kit wanker, but…look at those socks, too.

A third third kit, brought to us by Santos Laguna. It’s predominantly white and beige, with green providing accents on the collar and shoulder stripes and gold lining the stripes and the sleeve cuffs. It’s based off the 2015 Liga MX Clausura champions shirt.

And there’s an extra detail that can’t even be seen: inside the collar is an inscribed “1996,” to honor their Clausura title that year as well.

You know a kit’s nice when the gold accents aren’t even the best part! Atlas’ new third kit fades from white to black in one of the most interesting designs out there right now.

The shorts have the same the gradient pattern as well.

You could say we’re excited for the new season here in the office as well.

What’re you rocking this weekend? And who do you think will win this Liga MX season? Let us know!

Thanks to FootyHeadlines for the scoop on the new kits!
